Two contrasting solo pieces/studies
Final: A solo piece of your choice

*There will be less focus on the competitive nature of this competition and more about substantial feedback
Players will be judged according to their standard - but we will select one overall winner

One round: Submit a piece for solo flute
Prizes: Certificates and winning work(s) will be performed by one of our esteemed guest artists in the closing concert
Please note! Composers do not need to buy entry to the flute festival to take part!

Rules

All competition entries cost £30 - purchased through the payment page of the website
All entrants must have purchased an event ticket to take part (apart from composers)
All entries must be sent to: eflutenet@gmail.com - by the deadlines stated below
All performance entries must be send by video (YouTube private link or Google/Dropbox link to file)
Videos must not be tampered with or edited in any way - only raw footage - but pieces can be videoed separately
This competition is celebrating solo flute music - please do not choose pieces missing piano!
Applicants in the Junior and Young Artist/Composer categories must be able to provide evidence of age
First Round videos must be submitted by midnight (UK time) July 9th 2024
Final round videos must be submitted by midnight (UK time) July 13th 2024
If you don’t have access to the music required, please get in touch
You are allowed to repeat repertoire in different rounds
Composers must submit their work by midnight (UK time) July 1st 2024
Composers to submit entry via PDF (no large files please)
Composers can also submit a recording via link (optional)
Composers do not have to hold a festival ticket to enter this competition
Adjudicators TBA and subject to change
Ages must be correct as of July 19th 2024
All participants will receive feedback
The judges decisions are final
