Following on from the huge success of our Festivals in 2020 and 2022, we are extremely excited to present The eFlute Mini Festival - coming this July 2024.

Small but mighty, the week will be jam-packed with interactive workshops, daily warm-ups, seminars, Artist Q&A’s, flute choir, and competition, as well as live streamed masterclasses and concerts. The ‘live’ festival dates are July 9-16th but all content will be recorded and made available for 30 days, so you can watch at your leisure throughout the summer.

Schedule

Festival Content

*Every day of the festival there will be a 20 minute morning warm-up. You are welcome to join us live on zoom for this, but please don’t worry if you can’t make it - the warm-up will be recorded and made available for you to use before your practice, whatever time best for you.

*eFlute Tutors Abbie & Janna will present regular morning classes throughout the festival on various elements of flute technique, online informal masterclass and focused repertoire sessions.

*A Guest Artist will present a special 6pm (UK) zoom class most days during the Festival; this may be an interactive workshop, masterclass, Q&A, or concert. Again, we will record the session and make it available to view in your own time.

*There is special hybrid event in Central London with Ian Clarke - it will be live-streamed and you are welcome to join online OR in person!

*We have a digital Concert Hall where we will upload Artist performances. You are also welcome to submit your own!

*One-to-one online lessons can be purchased as add-ons throughout the festival. The Syrinx Competition will also be running throughout and has categories for most ages and standards.

*We will have a final concert for anyone who would like to play

Previous Festivals

The first eFlute Festival (in 2020) ran for a month and was a pioneering online sell-out event which had attendees from over 16 countries worldwide. Our mission was to bring flute players together during COVID-19 lockdown and the event was choc-a-block with world class content. We employed over 40 renowned guest artists and scheduled over 60 classes for players of all ages and standards.

We also held an International Online Solo Flute Competition with numerous categories for performers of all ages and abilities and composers and our final gala concert raised over £1,000 for NHS Charities Together and Help Musicians UK.

Our second festival in 2022 was also a roaring sell-out success and included a special programme of ‘30 Artists in 30 Days’ - featuring 30 world renowned flute players, each offering a zoom session of their choice! Guest artists included Ian Anderson, Emmanuel Pahud and many, many more…

Pan Magazine featured an article about the festival which can be read by clicking on the photo below:
